In the highlands of Enrekang, farming families cultivate coffee on steep terrain shaped by climate, geography, and long-practiced knowledge. The Duri people—the region’s largest cultural and linguistic community—form the backbone of this landscape, where coffee work is closely tied to family, cooperation, and the rhythm of village life.

INAWA Specialty Coffee works within this environment as a sourcing, processing, preparation, and trading partner. We do not grow coffee ourselves; instead, we collaborate with farming families across the Enrekang highlands, handling their coffee with care and preparing it for specialty markets in Indonesia and abroad. Our role is to build a reliable, transparent connection between the people who cultivate the coffee and the roasters who carry it forward.
Our name, INAWA, comes from a root word in the Duri language associated with thoughtful work, steady character, diligence, goodwill, and unity. These meanings inspire the principles that guide how we choose to work—as partners who handle coffee carefully, act with integrity, and move forward with shared purpose.

At INAWA Specialty Coffee, each stage of our work—receiving coffee, processing, drying, hulling, sorting, and preparing green beans for trade—is carried out with intention, transparency, and respect. Our aim is to produce consistent, quality-driven coffee while honoring the people and places behind it.We hope to contribute to the growing recognition of Enrekang’s highland coffee and to represent the Duri people whose land, labor, and language inspire the name we carry.
